Run 4 the Hills for First Responders benefits those that serve in EMS, Fire and Law Enforcement Agencies.
Join us for the 8th annual RUN 4 THE HILLS FOR FIRST RESPONDERS - a challenging 4 mile run/walk through the historic village of Sharon Springs, NY and surrounding countryside, benefiting Hero Fund America, Inc., our Duty Gear Challenge winners, and the Sharon Springs Rescue Squad. Hero Fund America supports education, training & life saving equipment needs for first responders. Fire, Rescue and Law Enforcement Departments are welcome to participate in the Duty Gear Team Challenge (3 person minimum, in turnout/duty gear, present race day) and compete for Cash Prizes ($1,000 for EACH division -Fire, EMS & Law Enforcement, based on best overall team time) along with medals (1st, 2nd, 3rd place) for individual first responders in each division. New Balance will be offering three $100 gift certificates pairs of sneakers to the first male and female finishers, along with a drawing for the third. A Student plaque will be awarded to the School Team with best overall time, and a Community Team trophy awarded to largest participating team (business or any group). We are also offering prizes for the top 3 individual fundraisers or fundraising teams!
Please note: there will be no post-race party this year, however, each finisher will receive a snack bag & finishers pin. We will still hold the awards ceremony immediately after the close of the race.
Online registration closes at midnight Saturday, September 25. Packet pickup/last minute registration ($35, providing event has not sold out) will be held at the American Hotel, Main Street, Sharon Springs, NY on Friday, October 1 from 3-6pm. On race day, October 2, last minute registration and packet pickup will be available from 7:30-8:30am ($35). Race start, 9:00am sharp at the American Hotel, Main Street, Sharon Springs, New York. All teams must register under Team Registration. USATF sanctioned. Sorry, we offer no refunds for this charitable event.
The 2021 Run 4 The Hills will take place as an in-person event, paying close attention and adhering to CDC and DOH guidelines as they unfold. An option to participate virtually will also be available to accommodate all individuals at their own comfort level. As guidelines change almost daily we will share any event changes that have to be made as quickly as possible. Please be aware of this and we will post all updates on this page in the weeks leading to our event.
Can't join us on race day? Register now for the 2021 VIRTUAL RUN/WALK! All virtual registrants will receive a t-shirt, finishers pin & custom bib! The largest virtual team will win an official trophy!
